Time Flies…

Post adoption months are so hard and sometimes it seems like a never-ending chaotic battle, but the time flies by, and before you know it, you have an easy hour, then an easy day. And then to your surprise you realize that you are having entire easy weeks, and that the child you thought might be a difficult child is actually turning out to be quite enjoyable…and you are relieved.

Those easy, enjoyable days with your child make the not so easy days a little more bearable, because now that the first hard months are past, you know that these hard days are not here forever, and you can look forward to easy days again. But the time keeps flying by…

If you are in the hard times with your child, hang in there! This will pass, and you will fall in love with them, and they will adjust and fall in love with you, as well. There will be easy times, times you will love, and things will get better!
