Playing Outside…

When it was just little M, we could play out front, because she has all my attention… now that my attention is divided, I worry about playing out front because if little M is riding her tricycle she can’t hear when cars are coming and I need to be there.

So I have been working on a space on our back deck for the kids to play in…

Right now it’s not super fun for baby J…but it will be.
And the deck is completely closed in, so no one can escape!

There is a swing, which little M loves, and is great for sensory issues, and calming down…

I took the piece of wood that used to be on the bottom of little M’s crib forever ago (what do people do with all the leftover crib pieces?), and I painted it with a sealer, and then covered it in chalkboard paint.

We have been using sidewalk chalk on it, and the rain washes it off for us… it’s a hit!

Joanna,I remember making a little play area for my big girls when we loved in our town house. We had a small sandbox and splash pool as well as a table and chairs. Love the chalk board! Wish I had thought of that. You are such a creative mama. As to the crib parts? I'm betting you will show us some great ideas.Love,Kat
