Mackenzie Day 10

Today, to break up our monotony a little, we decided to go off of Shamian island, and walk over the bridge into the city, to walk around the markets. The first market we found was the food and medicine market, where you can find all the dried mushrooms you could eat, as well as dried seahorses and tea. Something for everyone! You can also find some fresh food delights, such as these little morsels just waiting to be deep fried and enjoyed…

If you need some fresh turtle soup, the turtles are conveniently placed for you to choose from!

There is a tradition for those who adopt from China (and stay at the White Swan Hotel) to do a red couch photo of you child, so we did that little photo session this afternoon!
