Dear Tiny P…

Precious little girl… today you have been our tiny P for four weeks!

You have endured so many changes in the past four weeks, more than I can imagine enduring.

I know you have been so frightened, and confused…

And I know that we are only at the beginning of our journey… but there are some things I want you to know.

You have a mama now. And your mama will do her very best to love you unconditionally, to hold and comfort you when your little heart is filled with grief, and to rejoice with every sweet smile we see.

I will be there for you in the journey to come… and there is a long journey to come, before you are healthy.

You have a family now, and we will be there, with you, every step of the way.

We love you, and we cannot wait to watch you grow and continue to blossom. And when our human efforts fail, as they will, in our imperfection, we will trust you to God, the one who loves you even more than we do.
