Christmas Day..

We were beyond thrilled to be able to take our littlest love home from the hospital late in the evening on Christmas eve. The grandparents had come in that afternoon, and we all waited at the hospital while the team discussed tiny P’s stability and whether or not she could go home. It was finally decided that she could go home, but that we should bring her in for lab work every few days, and it was stressed that we need to be aware that she may need to be readmitted at any time.

So far, so good! We have gone in for labs, and we will go in again tomorrow morning. Tiny P has been stable, and she has been thrilled to be home. We only have to hang in there for sixteen more days until her surgery date, and I would love for her to have those couple weeks at home before we settle into hospital life for weeks.

I just cannot even tell you how happy I was to be home with all my loves for Christmas day…

I loved watching my babies open presents…

I loved seeing my babies smiling and excited to be all together.

And I loved hearing little M read the Christmas story.

Baby J’s favorite things were swords…

And tiny P’s favorite thing was being home.

And my favorite thing was having all the ones I love close. This boy loves his grandpa, and I love seeing them love each other… this was my favorite shoulder when I was little, too. Precious.

It was a completely different Christmas than I had planned…

But it was a very beautiful one…
