Our kids love this book… we bought this for little M when she first came home, and it has remained a favorite with baby J, as well.

It’s about a little bird who knows he has a mommy, and goes looking for her…

And the mommy he finds looks nothing like him, but is perfect for him, anyways! It’s a cute little story of adoption and family.

I wish I could say I thought of this all on my own, but no. I ordered these craft kits on Etsy for much less than I could have put them together…

The kids colored their parts, and glued them on, adding feathers and eyes, and legs…

Both of them really got into this craft. I knew little M would love it, and I was pleasantly surprised at how baby J stuck with it. I think it’s because he loves the story, but he was very excited!

They turned out very cute!

They were both so proud of their craft, and they bring their Chocos to me several times a day, asking to read the story…

So we do…

This is one of my all-time favorite adoption books and every time another friend adopts, I order this book. Love that art project. Such fun!

My daughter loves that book too. When we travel, it comes too. What a neat craft idea!
