Big Day For Baby J…

Yesterday, baby J was baptized at our church. He was pretty much the most adorable thing ever in his little suit…

Little M thought everyone was there for her. She was also adorable…

Baby J thought all of the attention was very cool, and given his penchant of late for indiscriminate affection, I thought this would be right up his alley.

And it started out well…

But then, as he was carried a little ways away from us, he decided that this was the day he would become attached (or anxiously attached, anyways).

Once he decided he was not on board with this business, he cried through the entire thing. He still managed to look precious, though.

And then he was back in our arms, and we carried on… Poor baby J

We had a little party at our house after the baptism…

I chose a rustic theme with orange and blue, and it was fun to decorate!

I used a crate that my friend found on the side of the road for the centerpiece…

Made little paper cones for crackers…

I found this old coca cola crate in my parent’s garage, and enlisted it to hold sandwiches…

The cucumbers are stuffed with tuna salad, and the paper bags have chips in them.

individual salad cups…

The pops on the crate are marshmallows dipped in candy melts…

What a fun day…

We have been blessed with amazing friends, and we appreciate you all coming to celebrate this special day!

I am also grateful for the small show of attachment with baby J… I needed that, precious boy.

Josie screamed through her entire baptism. It's all captured on video. Even one of her little shoes went flying. Your little man is so handsome. Congratulations and continued blessings. You always do an amazing job on decorations and food.
