Becoming A Big Brother…

People often ask if the kids are excited to have a baby sister, and little M so is… she brings her baby sister up in conversations almost daily.

When we talk about tiny P, baby J will say things like “I baby. I precious baby boy.” Does he really get that he will have a baby sister, and that he won’t be the youngest anymore? I don’t know if he does, he just wants to be my baby boy…

While I don’t think he gets adoption, he does get family… he knows that we are his people. And while he doesn’t understand adding onto our family, he does understand going back to China…

The other day when we were discussing getting his sister he said, “yes, we go back China.” I replied that  yes, we would all go, and then our family would all come back home, with his new sister. And he said “Yes. Then her have a family… and her be happy!”

So precious…do you think he gets it?
