A Little Table…

We have this little kid’s table in our kitchen that my mom got for little M for her first Christmas home.
It is the best and most used “toy” we have gotten. It gets used for coloring, playing, crafting, eating…everything! I have wanted to paint it for the longest time, and I have no idea what has taken me so long.

I finally just decided that all the waiting was getting ridiculous…and I painted it.

Now I am sad that it took me so long, because I LOVE it!
The base and chairs are all white, and the top is chalkboard paint, natch.

Little M was a little nervous about her table being gone for two days, but she is glad to have it back, and seems underwhelmed with it’s awesome transformation. She has no idea that the top is chalkboard paint yet, because I wanted to give it time to cure, but I am sure that will rock her world.

We have a little table and two chairs that my folks got for Emma when she was a toddler. It has been in every room of our home at one point or another and is throughly loved. The chalk board paint was an awesome idea. We have just recently fell in love with that little transforming gem. The girls were dying to try it on something so I let them paint the front of one of the cabinets in the kitchen. It looks so neat, I might let them do a few more. How many coats did you use? The paint can said two but we needed at least four.

She's going to love it. Fabulous idea to use the chalk board paint on the top.
