A Chair For A Boy…

So when we were waiting for little M, I painted this chair for her. Since we will soon have another toddler in our house, and we still have cloth covered parsons chairs that I am afraid to put a toddler in, it was time to get another chair…plus, I had a need to paint something.

So little M and I headed to Ikea, and got ourselves this chair…

I didn’t want it to be exactly like little M’s chair, but the colors are the same…

The stripes make it look very bold…who doesn’t like a bold chair…

I had thoughts about maybe doing some swirls, but little M declared that stripes were the way to go, and since I asked her opinion, I thought I should comply.

Here are the chairs together…

I think it’s pretty cute to have the polka dots, and stripes, what do you think?

Great job! I love that you used the pattern to subtly indicate gender, but the kept the color scheme neutral. What fun!

Great chairs. You and your painting creativity always amaze me. Are these full size for your dinner table or small for a child's table? They look like they would be playroom size but you mentioned about your other chairs so I was wondering.
