When Little M Is Sick

Poor little M…she gets every little germ that goes around. Because of her heart condition and the strain it put on her lungs for so long, everything goes straight to her lungs, and clogs them up.Â

Poor little thing has been sick and miserable all week, so we have been taking it super easy.

When little M is sick, she just wants to wear her dress up princess dress…

She pulls her ponytail out, and has crazy hair, because her head hurts.

She just wants to sit on the floor and play lincoln logs…

So that is just what we do. In between blowing her nose over and over.

She wants to cuddle, and read books, so we do.

And while we cuddle, she does this…

And I get to take pictures of my sleeping baby girl. Love.

So sorry to hear M is sick. Our gang (well 5 of them) came down with a cold and fever yesterday, too. Elisabeth gets everything in her lungs, too. Which makes it so hard for her to get over the simplest thing. Sometimes I get so frustrated because unless you have a child with a chronic condition people really don't understand the seriousness of what is just one or two days of sniffles for their child. This time of year I am afraid to even take Ellie to church because it will be a month before she recovers. I can not wait for spring! But in the meantime I love the extra cuddles and snuggles that come with sick kids. I am impressed M will get so dressed up. â˜º Ellie's idea of getting dressed when she is sick is putting on another pair of PJ's.

M is just like Josie. Every single sickness ends up in her lungs. Our sweet little SN heart girls. Extra hugs to M. Enjoy your sweet princess.
