Do you remember my Fall welcome sign? I made the stand to be a wreath hanger, but then I loved the sign on it so much, I left it there.

It was so easy to make… the main piece is actually a baluster for stairs.
It was $11 at Home Depot, and the hook was $5. I had a piece of 2X2 from a previous project, and I cut that up and used it to make the base.

I used a jar of sample paint that I used for something else, and sanded down the edges to shanty it up a bit. Then I put a couple coats of polyurethane on it, and screwed my base and my hook on…
