Vader+Little M=Love
Darth Vader and love in the same sentence. I never thought I’d see the day!
Well, it appears that there were many things I did not foresee…
One of those things was that little M would not only shun playing with babies, but that she would love playing with stuffed things, like animals…and darth vader, or “vader,” as he is called in our house.
Is vader lovable? Judging from the way little M cuddles him, I guess so.
Does she care that really, vader was the bad guy?
Maybe he just didn’t get enough love?
Well, now he does. Get the love, that is.
Little M has never seen the movies or tv shows, but somehow, she knew who he was, and she knew that vader had to come home with her.
And In the face of such love I was helpless to deny her. So we are now the proud owners of vader. I’m pretty sure that this is not the path to playing with babies. This is the path to the dark side. Ha.

HA! Love it! She will probably be so traumatized when she finally does see the movie and see how evil Vader was. But I love the idea that he is just misunderstood, and needed more love as a child. Someday she'll see how Anakin was just a cute little boy who loved his wife too much. It reminds me of Elphaba in \”Wicked\” — the idea that the green Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz was in fact the good one, who was misunderstood and scapegoated and harmed beyond repair. Love you, little M!
She'd be right at home with Miss Josie. Josie doesn't own a single barbie and rarely plays with with her baby dolls. She prefers batman, spider-man and green lantern figurines. Go figure!
Emily loves Vader too! And Mater, Batman, Spiderman, and superheroes in general. Not much doll playing in our house either. Lol. Emily has that same DV and she just loves on him!!!
