Tuesday’s Random Thoughts…

Last week at one of her audiology appointments, one of the audiologists told little M that she was such a good girl, and little M smiled prettily and said “yes…I have a balloon?” She got one. And she earned it.

Little M informed me last week that she will no longer be wearing choo choo train panties, or fairy panties. From now on, she will only wear Spiderman panties. Oh yes, she did. And I think she means it. Unfortunately.

Little M has figured out boys and girls, is working on boys being a “he,” and girls being a “she,” and has started to figure out family relationships…the other day, the husband was explaining what a father was, and that she is his daughter. “I’m YOUR daughter, daddy?” He replied yes, and then she melted his heart with “you like a daughter, daddy?” He LOVES a daughter!

We went to a party on Saturday for some friends who are moving away, whom we are going to miss, even though we don’t get to see them as much as we would like… and little M had us cracking up all the way there asking “where’s the potty (party) at?” and “I’m ready to potty!”

Little M has just recently started making up her own songs. We discovered this last week when we were driving somewhere with little M singing in the backseat. We were trying to figure out what song she was singing, but the tune was one we didn’t know, and we couldn’t make out the words until she sang “Ooooh, yaaay…I seeee a trash truck!”

Little M has one day left of school…I know she is going to miss it so much, but I am looking forward to  spending the whole Summer with her!

We find ourselves reassuring little M constantly that we will always return from wherever we go… This weekend little M was going downstairs, and she came to me, and said “don’t worry, mommy. I always come back to you. We are family.”
Along the same line, little M has been going up and down stairs, playing in her room and the basement…without me!! Mind you, she is only usually gone for a few minutes, before she comes to check on where I am, but it is still a big deal for us!

Little M caught the dancing bug at cousin Quinn’s wedding, and asks several times a day for me to turn on music so we can dance…so that is precisely what we do. The girl has got some moves!

Josie would also wear superhero undies too. She and M would get along just fine (smile). Enjoy your summer. Today was Josie's last day of Kindergarten. Very bittersweet.

Yesterday, Jenna and I were downstairs and looking at the big map, talking about when she used to live in China. Then we left to play in the backyard when suddenly she said, \”I miss Feng Feng\”. So sweet… and sad… Then she said, \”Mommy, I can make a card for Feng Feng to tell her I miss her and put it in the mail so it go really, really far away to her?\”

I'm surprised they sell spiderman panties, I thought for sure they'd only have the girlie stuff! So many cute little stories, you're going to have such a fun summer with her!

Hi Wendy, thanks for commenting! We actually have never been able to find Spiderman girl underwear. The \”panties\” that I refer to are in fact boy underwear! 🙂
