Tomorrow…

You are STRONG… In your short life you have endured so much and seen some hard things, more than many adults. You handle everything that comes your way with such grace, and even joy. You never anything get in your way.  You don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something, and you don’t let limitations stand in you way. I am often convicted and inspired to be more like you, with your positive outlook on life, and your never-ending smile.

You are BRAVE… Even when something scares you or makes you nervous you work it out with a smile on your face. I’m so proud of the way you march your little self into Kindergarten like you are unstoppable. I’m proud of the way you stand up for yourself when somebody isn’t treating you nicely, and I’m proud of the way you stand up for others who need a friend. That takes guts, and I love that about you.

You are SASSY… SO sassy. I don’t know where you got all that sass, but you work it, and you work it with confidence.

You are SMART… Daddy and I often joke that you are five going on thirty, because you so often seem like you are wise beyond your years. You have seen more and you know more about life than most kids your age. You teach me things, and you help me see the world from your perspective. The questions you ask amaze me, and your desire to learn more, about everything, impresses me.

You are HAPPY… You love to make us laugh, and you are hilarious. You love to tell jokes, and even though they don’t always make sense, they always send you into giggles. You teach me the importance of laughter, and your laugh is the best. sound. on. earth. You share that happiness with your joyful smile, and people are drawn to you and your happy spirit wherever we go.

You are BEAUTIFUL…  You are. Your smile lights up my world, and your eyes show joy and love. But also, your are beautiful where it counts the most. You have the most beautiful heart. You are kind, loving, thoughtful, and caring. You love with amazing abandon, and when you love you love unconditionally. You are beautiful, deep down to your soul.

I thank God for making me your mommy, my beautiful, precious girl…there is so much love between us, more love than I ever thought possible. I am so grateful for the special bond and love we share, little M, and as always, I thank God for you, and the amazing gift that you are.
