Thursday’s Thoughts…

We get asked all the time when we are traveling to get our boy…now that it is March, I am finally able to say that we leave next month! We don’t have a date, but as soon as we get our travel approval, we are ready to go!!

Little M is so excited to go to China, she can hardly stand herself. I can’t blame her, I am pretty excited myself!

The other day little M came to me smiling. I asked her what she was thinking, and then I cracked up when she said “daddy sure does love me!” I’m not sure what made her think of that since daddy was at work at the time!

That same day, we were playing, and I told her I loved her. I laughed when she replied “I know! Because I am so precious!”

Yesterday, little M asked for some chocolate, and when I gave it to her, she squealed, and said “mommy! I love you so much right now!” Ha! Chocolate is definitely the way to our girl’s heart!

Little M cracks us up on a daily basis, but we also crack ourselves up, ha! Often, we laugh over little M’s expressions… I love that hurt feelings are still “hot feelers,” avocados are “abocabos,” and the kitchen is “kitch.” I also love that she tells people “you need my hug!” when she is hugging friends or the husband and I. How can we not copy her? I especially love it when the husband tells me “you need my hug!”
Ah, quotable little M…how she makes me happy!

We got little M a play kitchen for Christmas, and we spend a lot of time in her room while she cooks us up concoctions in her “kitch.” Yesterday when we were playing, she told me I should pretend to be sick, and she would make me soup.
“mommy, I have made you a great soup!” she told me, “it is soup with cheese, bacon, chocolate, and cream. It’s all the best stuff! Best soup evah!!
She’s a culinary genius, I tell you!

Last week, we were getting ready to go to some friend’s house, and I was getting dressed in the morning. Little M often likes to hang out while I get dressed, and I pulled a dress out of the closet and held it up… I had to laugh when little M, standing behind me, exclaimed “mommy, if you wear that, you will be fabulous!” Well, what could I do? I do like to look fabulous, ha!

The other day, little M came up to me and put her arm around my neck. Very seriously, she said “mommy. I am the most wonderful girl in the whole world!”
I definitely agree, little M!

I can't wait to follow you to China. I hope you can blog from there. I'm having adoption envy, but I'm so darn happy for you. We've promised the girls we would go back to China on a heritage tour when Emma is 18 and Josie is 10.
