The Year…In Pictures.

In January, we were still waiting with anticipation to bring home baby J…

And we got our official letter of approval stating he was ours!

In February we celebrated Chinese new year…

And in March, little M turned 5!

We celebrated Easter at the end of March…

Then the next week, in April, we flew to China…

We took our last photo as a family of three.

And our first photo as a family of four…

We enjoyed spending time with the kids in Hunan province.

Then we flew to Guangzhou, where baby J became a US citizen…

And the husband fed a baby tiger.

Then we flew home!

In May, baby J had his first orthopedics appointment,

And he got his first of many casts…

The grandparents came to visit…

Then in June little M graduated from pre-k.

And baby J continued getting a new cast every week.

In July we celebrated the Fourth of July…

Baby J had surgery on his foot,

And baby J was baptized.

In August, we celebrated my birthday with friends on Chesapeake bay…

We celebrated little M’s third family day…

And then celebrated even more when baby J turned three!

Baby J got his cast off,

And we went to the beach…

At the end of August little M started kindergarten.

In September baby J learned how to walk…again!

The husband and I celebrated 13 {THIRTEEN!} wonderful years of marriage.

In October, we went to the pumpkin patch…

We were excited to have baby J home for six months,

And we enjoyed Halloween.

In November I had radioactive iodine therapy to kill my thyroid…

We crafted new counters…

And celebrated Thanksgiving.

In December we enjoyed our first snowfall…

Then we flew to Wyoming to celebrate Christmas with my family!

What a year! After Christmas, baby J got very sick. We were able to come home, but he was hospitalized soon after. He is still in the hospital today, and we are hoping he will be able to go home soon.
