The First Day…

Today was little M’s first day of school. She did great. I was a nervous wreck, but she did great.

I worried about her in a new environment that I wouldn’t be able to stay in…but she went right in, gave me a hug, and said “bye bye, see you later.”

I was so proud. When I picked her up, she talked about school for the rest of the day. Apparently they color, paint, play, and…wash their hands with soap. Yes, that’s right. The way she talks about washing her hands with soap, you would think we never allow soap at home. Seriously, everyone. Seriously…does that sound like me? I promise we use soap. At home. All the time.
And also, according to her teacher, she is a genius.
This is proven by the picture she colored in class.
It is the waves in the ocean and sunshine. And a bird…or an M. I’m not sure which, and when I ask little M, she just redirects my attention to her sunshine.
Genius? Maybe so…

Hearing someone (especially a teacher or authority figure) praise your child is the best! I have never had a compliment mean so much! So I know you are loving it! Happy for all of you!

Yippee!! I'm thrilled that M's first day of school was a happy one! We had a fun kindergarten open-house last night.

Genius indeed! It is great when they love it and their teachers tell you how well they are doing. You are making the right decision. We, too, saw a quick change when Bella got around other children. They learn from each other so quickly. And Yay for an easy drop off! 🙂

Funny about the soap….our girl came home from daycare the first day and said \”their pouch drinks (capri sun) were cold!!\” like we never serve her cold drinks. Your girl is precious
