Just as we were about to head home, in the wheelch

Just as we were about to head home, in the wheelchair and packed up, Paisley’s nose started bleeding profusely... she has only ever had one nose bleed, years ago, and she just started back up on her blood thinners after her cath, so we stuck around a couple more hours to be sure she was ok. Then we got out of there!
We are still waiting to hear some test results, including her biopsy results, but she (and me too!) is happy to be home, and all of us are happy to have her there!
She is still tired and a bit lethargic, with zero energy, but hopefully we’ll see her bounce come back soon. 💗

When it’s almost time to go home, but you can’

When it’s almost time to go home, but you can’t remember where you are or hold your head up, you get a visit from the neurology team... and when you can’t pass the neuro evaluation, you get admitted instead of heading home...
We are here through the night for observation, and Paisley will have evaluations every two hours. She is already doing better with most functions, but she still has no short term memory, and I have been asked approximately 4,234 times “where am I?”
Never a dull moment with this girl!
Paisley’s cath went smoothly, though we are disappointed that there was nothing able to be done to help her symptoms. We will find out biopsy results tomorrow, and she will be scheduled for a sedated MRV soon. For now, we are settled into HKU, and our girl just told a doctor that she appreciates how everyone treats her like a queen here. 👑

Today was her pre-op covid test, and blood work...

Today was her pre-op covid test, and blood work... her heart cath is on Friday!
I’d be lying if I said we weren’t nervous about this cath. While these procedures are considered routine, Paisley normally has them once a year now on her transplant anniversary... to need one now, four months after her last cath is concerning and nerve wracking.
But here we go, in two short days, with hearts full of hope. Always full of hope. 💗
