Success…

Little M’s surgery was a success. She did great, and they expect that she will continue to improve. This is how she looked when we first saw herIMG_0031.JPG
But they took her breathing tubes out fairly quickly, and she was much happier once she got her thumb in her mouth.

She is still in ICU, and they will keep her there another day. She is quite agitated, and keeps wanting me to pick her up, which I can’t wait to do! Thanks so much for all of your prayers, please keep them coming! We are praying that she will be calm, and that her heart would adjust quickly. Her little heart is still working very hard, and they have to keep her iin ICU until it calms down.

I'm soooo glad the surgery went well!!!Little M looks so tiny on that hospital bed surrounded by medical equipment and attachments, it is heartbreaking to see (even though its actually heart mending) I can only imagine what it must have been like for you and your husband when you first saw your sweet girl after surgery 🙁 Just so happy that it went well and hope she will soon be able to come home and start enjoying her new strength and energy!Sending all good wishes for speedy recovery.

Wow! You must be so strong to go through all this! I can't even imagine how you will remember this time years from now. As a whirlwind, perhaps? I'm sure you have your mommy break-down moments, but you seem so strong and composed (probably for little Mackenzie's sake as much as anything), and I'm sure that has something to do with all the prayers and faith in God. We are praying for you, have been for months now. We love to read your story. Keep up the strength! All the best,Nancy
