On The Walls…

It took me a little while to get the art done, but it’s finally that way I wanted it!

I think this is such a fun mix of art, and it really pops in the room… arranging art always stresses me out,  but all of these turned out so cute, I don’t know if there was a wrong way to arrange them.

This little deer plaque is from Etsy, and all purchases go toward a good cause, kids with chd (congenital heart disease) which you know is near and dear to our hearts.

We all know the book this is from, right (I know I’ve read it three hundred trillion times…)? I just put an owl in there to go with my theme, and printed it off.

I found this little cardboard moose online at uncommon goods. I love him…the grandpa is not too sure about him, and thinks there should be a real one in this room, ha!

Found this at Target. I know…it’s borderline innapropriate in a child’s room. I think it’s funny, though.

The cowboy was drawn by one of the husband’s brothers, and left at our house in a sketchbook…so I took it. Nothing is safe, haha…

The owl specimen art is just owls I punched out, and glued on paper. The punch is from Martha Stewart, and the grandma gave it to me for Christmas.

This deer silhouette is just something I found online, and printed out…I’m not sure if I love it yet, but I could always put something else in this frame, which is from World Market.

This canvas, I painted this past week… Little M’s room is full of art that I made for her, and I wanted there to be something personal like that in the boy’s room, too… the animals work with the theme for his room, and it has an adoption theme, as well, since in an adoptive family not everyone matches…

The ladder is on the wall above the bed…

It has a moose specimen board…

And some fun woodland creatures…

Cute little owls, and a deer antler…

The book racks are spice racks from Ikea, that I stained…

They are reinforced, not to worry. And yes, I expect that my boy will most likely use these as a ladder. That’s partly why they are so low…less distance to fall, ha!

It’s all coming together…this room was so fun to do!
Now we just have to get that little boy home!

Looks great! I really like the bookshelves! I wanted to do something similar to that in my daughter's room but haven't gotten around to it yet!

You inspire me! I really loved the canvas with the family of animals and the quote as soon as I saw it and then to read that you painted it – wow! LOVE it!
