New Cast…

We headed back to Children’s yesterday…

We got baby J’s cast off, and checked our his surgical sites. I’m not sure what was done on the back of his leg, but the nurse said they must have cut the tendon there.

This one was what I thought it would be, but it was a little bigger than I expected.

Look at that little heel! This is the flattest I’ve ever seen his foot, and all of us were excited to see this improvement.

Poor little foot. His little leg is SO skinny…

We got him measured for his AFO braces, and his night bars…

Then we got baby J’s last cast!

We have (hopefully) two more weeks! As long as the braces are in, we can get him out of the cast and into the braces. Onto the next step. Baby J will wear braces for the next 3-5 years, and see his orthopedist every three months. Yay for moving out of the casting phase! I am almost giddy with excitement!

Did you really say…the last cast?? YAY.Oy my gosh that little leg is so teeny tiny now but who cares cos that little foot is long and flat…FLAT. Oh his little leg is is scratched up and itchy looking but who cares because soon you can bathe it and rub lotion on it cos that cast will be GONE.Those braces better be in or I think I might cry. You made it, you did the unthinkable the unmanageable, the unbearable. You, are a rock star.
