Monday Musings…

Litte M’s speech is coming along well, and we see improvements every week. But there are some ways that little M pronounces things…she has her own words for a lot of things!
And there is no arguing with the four year old. Sometimes she will even argue with me about the right way to say something!

Little M calls dandelions “dandy flowers.” It’s the most precious thing, and we haven’t corrected her.
She calls her sandals her “sandshoes,” and we find ourselves calling them the same thing.
She calls hurt feelings “hot feelers.” So hard to take someone seriously when they say, in a pitiful voice “I hava hot feelers.”
She calls a fly a “flug” because I said a fly was like a bug, and so naturally, “flug” makes sense.
The other day little M handed me a paper. I wasn’t sure why, but I said “oh, thank you.” She said what do you say? You say thank you M.” And when I laughingly repeated what she had said, she patted my hand, and said “you weckon.”
I tell her every morning during our routine that God made her perfect and God made her beautiful. I have told her that almost since we brought her home, and she will sometimes repeat it back to me, but a few days ago when I started to tell her that God made her perfect, she put her hands on my face and said, “God made me perfect, God made me beautiful, and God made me cute, and God made me pretty, and God made me funny, and God made me nice black hair, and God made me brown eyes. God made me perfect!”
Yes, He did, little M. Yes, He did.

So very very precious. It's so important to record these special words. Josie's been calling her loose teeth her \”soft teeth\”. Such special girls.
