Home!

After twenty-eight hours of traveling, and three different planes, we are home!

I think baby J might just think we are at another hotel…

but he has very much enjoyed checking out this new environment. He played with cars pretty much all day.

Little M loves being home, and keeps telling us that she missed her toys, her animals, her friends, and her school.
I had thought we might keep her out of school for a few more days to help her adjust, but she is insistent that she will be going back on Monday!

I missed my things, too, ha! I love being home, and I am looking forward to getting settled, and working on attachment with our little guy.

So far, we are trying to keep his world small, but this looks so different when you already have a child.
With little M, it was easy to keep things small, we just didn’t bring all of her toys out. With baby J it is different, because we already have a lot of toys out, and little M wants to show him ALL of them at once. She is so sweet to want to share with her brother, and shower him with toys, but how do you explain to a five year old that doing this is overstimulating, and it will be hard to calm him down?
We’ll have to work on that this week…
