Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We are celebrating with Josh’s family today, at our house. The table is ready, places are set, the turkey is in the oven. We are ready for the hordes to descend upon us. Josh is the oldest of nine children, the youngest of which is 8; that’s a lot of people…

When we were younger, we used to go around the table, and name something we were thankful for, and I was thinking about all the things I have to be thankful for today; here are a few:
-I’m thankful for my husband, he is the most loving and supportive person I know, and I am so thankful and grateful that he has wholeheartedly embraced these adoptions, and has gotten so excited and involved in them.
-I’m thankful for my family. They never asked many questions about our adoption decisions, they just embraced our decisions, and gave us their support.
-I’m thankful for our friends, our wonderful and dear friends who support us with their love and prayers, and who get excited for us, even over small things.
-I’m thankful for a God who gives us the strength we need to deal with everything involved in two adoptions, as well as an agency shutting down along the way, and growing wait times, and such. Without his grace and mercy it would be so easy to despair, but he gives us the hope and faith we so need to carry on, and enjoy our lives while we wait for our little ones.
With love, and wishes for a blessed Thanksgiving!
