Freedom! (kind of)

101 days, eleven casts, and not walking for six weeks…

Today that came to an end. Our boy is officially cast free.

The first thing our boy did was take a bath…

Because after 101 days, a nice long soak is just what is needed.

He was overjoyed.

Our boy was VERY emotional yesterday, and last night wasn’t easy for him. He had trouble getting comfortable, and he woke up several times when he couldn’t roll over because of the barred brace. He was so excited to be standing…

But when he tries to walk his weak little leg gives right out, so he can only stand, and he needs to hold onto something. I think he just doesn’t understand… he is finally allowed to walk, and he wants to, but when he does, his little leg can’t support him. Poor guy!

Hopefully the rest of this week goes better for our boy. We are taking a little vacation, and I am excited that baby J can finally get in a pool!

Woo hoo! Such a trooper. Love all the pictures. I remember when Josie lost use of her hand for 10 weeks, she refused to use it after the cast came off. It took a few days and then she started up again. Enjoy your two little blessings and your upcoming vacation.
