Counting Down…

I had a piece of board left over from making closet shelves, and I have been looking at it, thinking…what could I do with a white piece of scrap wood?

I am a pinterest lover, and have enjoyed seeing the homemade advent calendars popping up.

So I took some (also leftover) clothespins and mod-podged some christmassy paper onto them.
I cut down the sides, and sanded down the edges to pretty them up a bit, then laid them out on my board. Then I didn’t like it…
So I painted a wide green stripe down the center of my board.
Then I liked it, so I glued my clothespins on!
I made a thousand twenty-five craft paper envelopes…
And filled them with a santa chocolate and a felt card with a fun activity on it.
I broke out the glitter, and added my numbers.

We hung it up, and we are ready to countdown!!
