Coat Closet…

I love organizing. But sometimes, I have a hard time finding organizational tools I really love. I like the idea of the closet organization systems, and I think I might enjoy the storage they afford.
But then, someone sent me pictures of this paint can idea (thank you John!), and I did it!
The paint cans are screwed into the wall and are perfect for holding flip flops, and in the Winter, they will hold gloves and scarves.

I repurposed a pallet, painted it to match the green and brown stripes I painted on the wall, and screwed it to the wall to be used for shoe storage.

So different, but so unique, and I would never be brave enough to paint the stripes in the entryway, or a room, so the closet is the perfect place for stripes.

There is still room to hang coats, it is over there on the left. And that’s the closet!

I see neat ideas like this but I still have the same problem… How to fit coats for 11 into a closet made for 4? I do use shoe bags inside the coat closet but not for shoes. The hang over the door style give me extra space for gloves, hats, and umbrellas.
