Celebrating The Horse…

As has become our tradition, we made our “dragon cake,” which my little people decorated while wearing their silks…

And they were the cutest things, ever.

We at SO much Chinese food with friends…

We ate our dragon cake…

We ate it all on cute horse plates.

The kids got their traditional hongbao (red envelopes filled with goodies, usually money)

We ate lucky candy, which was strawberry flavored…why strawberry? I have no idea. But we ate it, and it was delicious.

Happy new year!

You always have the best ideas. Looks like so much fun. I won't see Gracie until April. I hit the wrong button meaning to comment, I hit unsubscribe. I don't want that! Did it come through? Blessings

I'm getting ready to go in Josie's class this morning to do a CNY lesson. Love the dragon cake and your little cuties. Happy Year of the Horse!

I think it is so neat that you are teaching the kiddos the traditions of their homeland. We know several other people who have adopted little ones from China who do the same thing. Our families heritage is so important to our children and I am sure one day M and J will be so grateful to you for sharing this with them.
