Beautiful Yellowstone…Picture Heavy

On our last day in Montana, Uncle M and Auntie J took us to Yellowstone…

I have always loved Yellowstone.

It is so big, and so wild. It has waterfalls, lakes, rivers, hot springs, geysers, and tons of wild animals. Something for everyone, haha.

The terraces where the hot springs are are so stark and so pretty…

Yellowstone houses an active volcano, and more than 300 geysers… if geysers are your thing.

Waterfalls are little M’s thing, which is good, because there are approximately 290 waterfalls in Yellowstone.

Family is all of our thing, and we enjoyed being with our family most of all…

These cousins were precious together… sometimes you just have to run.

And nothing in Yellowstone is prettier than the preciousness that is cousin M.

Little M loved the colors at the hot springs…

Both my kiddos enjoyed seeing the waterfalls…

And the buffalo…

We also came across a black bear and several elk and some fawns.

We visited Yellowstone’s largest waterfall…

Which little M very helpfully helped her brother see, because everyone knows you have to look over the fence, you can never look through it.

My babies love them some water…we hiked down to the river the falls feed into, and incidentally, did you know that Yellowstone has no air? We realized that on the hike back up. No air, not at that elevation, but we did manage to huff and puff our way back up, haha.

What a fun day! We already miss Montana and our mountains… but mostly we are missing our family. Can’t wait to see them all again!
