Tuesday Things...

Little M is hilarious as a big sister. She is also bossy, testy, and incredibly sweet....

The other day she bossed baby J into putting away the toys she had been playing with. He did it happily, and she praised him profusely, saying he was a great helper, and such a good boy. Ha.

Last week, little M came up to me, and very seriously said "mommy, I love to torch my daddy. It's my favorite." She meant torture, and yes, she does.

With her little brother as a model, little M has become quite the daredevil...for her. We have been shocked to see her go down slides, hold animals (HUGE for little M), and pet dogs. We think it is all because she has a fearless brother, and has been watching him.
Conversely, with little M's example, baby J has become less rough, and has been more gentle. He has also been a little (but only a very little bit) less loud.

Little M came up to me yesterday, and very seriously looked at me and said, "mama. I am going to snug you now. let's sit down for it!" She meant snuggle...and that is what we did.

I hear "mama" approximately 254,000 times a day...whenever baby J says "mama" (and he never says it once, but at least 5 times each time he calls me), little M feels like she is missing something, so she starts saying "mama" over and over again also. And vice versa. Thus, I hear it 254,000 times each day. I love it, and think it's adorable until about 3:30 in the afternoon. Then I'm done

Little M alternates between thinking her brother is wonderful, and thinking he is ohsoannoying.
Last week, she stepped on a car on the floor. She clenched her little fists, and said "UGH! Boys are SO annoying!" I laughed, because it was a car that little M had been playing with...

Then yesterday she and I were working on teacher appreciation cards, and baby J was playing cars in the other room, and babbling away. At one point little M leaned over, and said "mommy, that noise is my little brother, he is SO cute!" And then I died from the sweetness of little M.

I am still shocked on a daily basis by how different boys and girls are. So different...but both so precious.

I am sure you are going to have many stories to tell. Write them down, you think you will remember, but you don't. Glad things are going well for everyone . Blessings
