Better...

So far so good! This week has been much better...I don't know what little M's deal was the past couple of weeks, but her school performance has been MUCH better this week.
Hopefully today will be as good as the rest of the week has been.

She has been so proud of herself this week when I have picked her up from school. Little M really thrives on positive reinforcement. But our girl has always marched to the beat of her own drum, and does seem to enjoy keeping us on our toes!

Sure, she usually has normal kid issues, but she has never been so disobedient for so long...at least we can say she was consistent!

That is why it is so confusing to us that she would behave so badly... was it an attention thing? Did something happen? Is it an age thing, and she is exerting her independence?

Really, I don't care what it was, as long as I can have my sweet girl back. But I still am wondering what caused this. And I do care about peace and calm in our home and lives, and that is something we didn't see for a little while. I missed it!
And I am struggling with it, as well...I by no means am trying to raise a "good child," or someone who just follows the rules. Our goal is to raise a God-following adult, someone who loves God and has a heart for others. And adult who is just determined and independent and insistent enough to fulfill the purpose He has in mind for her. I just know she is going to do great things...If only we can survive this. Ha!

Hopefully this upward trend will stick around, and we can enjoy some calm for a little bit.

I love her so much...sometimes it is so hard being a parent!

I've found working in daycare that sometimes kids just want to push the limits and see what you will and will not tolerate. I'm happy your little angel is done with that experiment and is back to being her sweet self.

Hopefully, the worst is really over. Developmental she's on target even though it hurts. Testing boundaries and limits is normal when they are seeking more Independence. It's hard when their negative choices impact so many others though. Josie's had some "less than stellar" behavior at her latchkey program this year. She has a best friend/boy friend (who happens to also be adopted from China). The two of them can get into so much trouble together.

You said the last 4 weeks have been full of drs. appts and pokes and prods. Could that be part of the cause? Whatever it was- glad she's doing better.
