Monday Musings...

Little M will take ten years to eat a regular sandwich, but cut that same sandwich into a butterfly shape, and she will ooh and aah, and devour that thing as fast as the speed of sound. Truly.

The other day I gave little M a fruit cup, and she asked me what it was. When I told her it was pears, she said "just like the pear tree song!" I agreed. What else could I do?

Little M has recently discovered ramen noodles. The husband introduced her to them, and when I asked her what she wanted for lunch the other day, she said she wanted "daddy noodles." Luckily, I knew what she meant, so I made them for her. She DEVOURED them. I left the room for a minute, and when I came back in I saw that she had put her fork down, and was using her hands to shove fistfuls of noodles into her mouth. She smiled at me and said "Mackenzie was frustrated. Fingers are better!" She was right. They were.

A few days ago we were getting in the car to run errands, and little M pointed at our neighbor's house, and said "that's Kenzie's house...but not weally."

The other day I walked into the living room, and found little M's precious kitty lying on the bench, propped up on pillows, with lipstick by his feet. When I asked little M about it, she said it was in case kitty had to "reach the lips."
