Valentine Tree...

Maybe Christmas is still lingering in my thoughts, and therefore, my crafts. Maybe I just like trees...anyways, I had an old Christmas tree skirt that I was going to throw out, but I was inspired by all of the crafty bloggers who are repurposing old seasonal decor into decor for the new season.
So I cut that bad boy up. Into hearts.

I made three different size hearts.

I had a cardboard tube left from all of the many yards of burlap, so I cut that up, too. And painted it pink. My favorite thing about Valentine's is that I can decorate with hearts and big pink fluffy pillows, and it's ok. Because of Valentine's...
Anyways, then I randomly glued on the hearts with the biggest at the bottom, and the smallest at the top.

I even fashioned a little cone top out of cardstock. Viola! Valentine's tree!
Please ignore the vignette, I know it needs work, and I will whip it into shape soon. Thank you.

Really clever! Bring on more Valentine crafts! Between Chinese New Year projects and Valentines, I'm all about RED right now. If you didn't see my CNY craft post, there are a couple of ideas that you could do with your sweet little one.

Really cute.

We have a Thanksgiving tree (woodland animal and pincones), Three Christmas Trees (Disney, Santa, Nativity), Valentine Tree (w/ hearts, of course), an Easter Tree (Eggs and Chicks) and lastly a Black Halloween Tree (w tiny orange lights). It is such fun, I expanded the holidays, year after year.

Have fun. . .
